This pansy bunny is hanging on the front door of Beautiful Things.
I have been asked quite a few times if I would share how I made him.
So I thought that would make a creative blog post!
It's actually very easy! You can do any shape that lends itself to being covered with flowers. A monogram would be fun.
Supplies ~ large piece of cardboard - the one I used was from a
box. About 25" x 20"
~ silk flowers - any kind that you love
sea shells would work too
~ glue gun & glue sticks
~ ribbon to coordinate with your flowers
How To ~ sketch out your design
~ cut out your design
~ remove the flowers from their stems and cut the little
end (on the back of the flower) off, leaving a flat surface
~ place the flowers on your shape, creating a look that
appeals to you
~ then start hot gluing each flower in place. I started at the
bottom. Slightly overlap each flower so no cardboard shows
thru. For the edges, place flowers so they hang off a little,
but make sure you keep the shape of your design.
~ I added a bow. But you might like yours without one!
And that's it! Have fun creating - I'd love to see what you do!
